Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions exist to ensure clarity, safety, fairness, and responsibility for all clients working with Sit Happens Dog Training Ltd (“Sit Happens”, “we”, “us”). By booking any service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, as well as our Waiver of Liability.

Sit Happens reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes take immediate effect and apply to all future bookings

GENERAL TERMS

1. Payment Requirements

All services must be paid for before the start of training, unless paying by payment plan.
Payment plans are provided as a courtesy to spread the cost—they are not a pay-as-you-go system.
For our 3-Day Transformation Program, we offer 0% interest payment plans up to 12 months.
You may begin training before the plan is completed, but the full balance remains owed in all circumstances.

2. Refunds

Refunds are issued only where stated in these Terms & Conditions.
Decisions outside of these policies are made strictly at our discretion and are final.

3. Service Termination

Sit Happens may terminate any service if:

We believe the program is no longer a good fit for you or your dog,
Progress is unlikely due to low client engagement,
Safety protocols are not followed,
The working relationship breaks down.

No refunds will be issued for sessions already delivered or for digital content already accessed.

Train & Stay PROGRAM

Deposits

A 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to secure your booking.

Pay in Full Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 1 month before your start date will be refunded minus the 25% deposit.
Cancellations made within 1 month of your start date are non-refundable.

Payment Plans

Payment plans of up to 12 months at 0% interest are available.
Payment plans cannot be cancelled, and no refunds will be issued.
You agree to complete the full plan regardless of attendance or completion of your program.

Cancellation by Us

If we must cancel due to serious unforeseen circumstances, we will reschedule at the earliest convenience.
If rescheduling is not possible, a refund excluding your non-refundable deposit will be issued.

ONLINE 90 Day TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM

Payment

Payment is due at checkout and must be completed before access is granted (unless paying by payment plan)
Payment plans do not reduce your total owed amount if you choose not to participate fully.
Payment plans cannot be cancelled, and no refunds will be issued.
You agree to complete the full plan regardless of attendance or completion of your program.
Failed payments pause all support until resolved.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund.
After this 24-hour period, no refunds will be issued.

Client Responsibility

You are responsible for:

completing assigned tasks,
sending requested videos and updates,
attending scheduled calls (if included),
actively participating in the program.

Low engagement may result in early termination of support, with no refund provided.

Money Back Guarantee

To qualify, you must:

Complete the full 90-day programme
Attend at least 1 coaching call per month
(There is 1 call per week — giving you 4 opportunities each month to attend live)
Submit regular video check-ins for feedback (minimum: 1 per week)
Show that you have:
- Taken feedback onboard
- Applied it
- Stayed consistent throughout
  (This must be demonstrated through your video submissions)

What “doing the work” means

You don’t need to be perfect.

But you do need to show:

You’re actually training
You’re applying what’s been coached
You’re not just watching and hoping it fixes itself

What counts as “no progress”?

If you’ve followed the process, applied feedback, and your dog shows no meaningful improvement in behaviour, based on your submitted videos…

That qualifies.

The guarantee does NOT apply if:

You stop part way through
You don’t attend coaching calls
You don’t submit videos or ask for feedback
You ignore coaching and do your own thing
You’re inconsistent and then say “it didn’t work”

Refund window

Refund requests must be made within 14 days of completing the program

ANY HOURS OWED / FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS

All hours included in a package or owed to you must be used within 4 months of your purchase date or first session—whichever comes first.
After 4 months, unused hours expire and cannot be reinstated or refunded.
It is your responsibility to book your follow-ups within this time frame.

SAFETY & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

You must disclose any bite history, aggression, or behavioural risks. There is no judgment—this is strictly for safety.
Muzzle training may be required for some cases.
Dogs must remain under control at all times unless instructed otherwise.
You are responsible for your dog’s behaviour and any damage, injury, or incidents that occur during training or on your property.

Sit Happens Dog Training Ltd is not liable for:

injuries to people or dogs,
property damage,
loss,
or any consequences resulting from training.

We do not guarantee specific outcomes. Progress depends on many factors including your dog’s temperament, your consistency, environment, and follow-through.

DIGITAL PRODUCTS & ONLINE MATERIALS

All digital content, course modules, and videos are:

non-transferable,
non-refundable once accessed,
for personal use only.

Sharing login access or redistributing course content is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access without refund.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY

By booking any service and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you grant Sit Happens Dog Training Ltd full permission to photograph and/or film you and your dog during any in-person or online training sessions.

These photos and videos may be used for:

social media content
website use
marketing materials
educational purposes
printed materials
progress tracking and case studies

Sit Happens will never use photos or videos of children without explicit written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

If you prefer not to have your images used publicly, you may request this in writing at any time. We will always respect your privacy.

COMMUNICATION & CONDUCT

We maintain a professional, respectful environment for all clients.
Abusive behaviour, harassment, or hostile communication will result in immediate termination of services with no refund.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by UK law.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By making a booking, submitting payment, joining a program, or accessing our online materials, you confirm that you agree to all Terms & Conditions outlined above.

Waiver of Liability

This Waiver of Liability (“Waiver”) is a binding agreement between the client (“you”) and Sit Happens Dog Training Ltd (“Sit Happens”, “we”, “us”). By participating in any service, program, session, or activity provided by Sit Happens, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms in full.

Please read carefully. By booking, attending sessions, accessing our online materials, or engaging in training, you confirm your acceptance of this Waiver.

1. Assumption of Risk

You understand that working with dogs—especially dogs that may be reactive, fearful, anxious, aggressive, or unpredictable—comes with inherent risks.

These risks include (but are not limited to):

Dog bites, scratches, or injuries
Injuries caused by falls, leash handling, or physical interaction
Property damage
Injury to other dogs, animals, or people
Behavioural regression or unpredictable responses to triggers

By participating in training, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your dog’s behaviour and the training process.

You acknowledge that no dog trainer can guarantee specific outcomes, as results depend on your dog’s genetics, history, environment, and your compliance with training guidance.

2. Client Responsibility

You agree that you are fully responsible for:

Your dog’s behaviour at all times
Supervising your dog during all training activities
Following all instructions provided by Sit Happens
Implementing training strategies recommended by Sit Happens
Maintaining a safe environment for training, both indoors and outdoors
Ensuring your dog is healthy and fit to participate in training

You also confirm that:

You have disclosed all known behavioural issues (including aggression, bites, reactivity, fighting history, fear-related behaviour, etc.)
Your dog is up-to-date with vaccinations or titre testing (where applicable)
Your dog does not pose an undisclosed risk to the trainer, public, or property

Failure to disclose behavioural risks may result in immediate termination of training without refund.

3. Safety Measures

You agree to:

Use safety equipment recommended by the trainer (lead, long line, muzzle, harness, etc.)
Keep your dog securely under control unless instructed otherwise
Inform the trainer immediately if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable
Follow all instructions relating to handling, positioning, or management
Provide accurate behavioural updates as requested

Sit Happens reserves the right to require muzzle training, additional safety equipment, or additional adult support where necessary. Refusal may result in service termination with no refund.

4. Liability Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sit Happens Dog Training Ltd, its owners, employees, trainers, contractors, and representatives from any and all:

claims,
liabilities,
damages,
losses,
injuries,
costs,
or expenses

arising from or connected to:

your dog’s behaviour, actions, or health
your participation in training
your use (or misuse) of techniques taught
incidents occurring during or after training
travel to or from training locations
any third-party interactions involving your dog

This includes incidents occurring:

during in-person sessions
outside sessions when applying training techniques
at your home or on your property
in public settings or group environments
during online training implementation

You understand and agree that Sit Happens is not legally or financially responsible for any harm or damage caused by your dog before, during, or after training.

5. No Training Guarantees

You acknowledge that:

Dog behaviour is influenced by many factors outside our control.
Sit Happens cannot guarantee results, specific behavioural outcomes, or timelines.
Training requires consistent application from you outside sessions.
Behaviour may improve, worsen temporarily, or evolve unpredictably.

No trainer can guarantee the elimination of aggression, reactivity, or other behavioural problems.

6. Veterinary Care & Health

You agree that:

You are responsible for your dog’s medical care.
You will inform Sit Happens of any medical changes during training.
If your dog becomes ill or injured, training may pause or stop at the trainer’s discretion.

Sit Happens is not liable for:

veterinary bills,
health complications,
medical emergencies,
or injury/aggravation caused during training or the implementation of training advice.

7. Property Damage

You accept responsibility for:

any damage your dog causes to property, vehicles, equipment, or spaces
any costs associated with repairs or replacement

This applies to:

your home,
public spaces,
training locations,
trainer-owned property or equipment,
third-party property.

8. Photography, Video & Media Consent

Training often includes video analysis and filming for progress tracking.

By participating, you consent to:

Sit Happens capturing photos or videos of training sessions, and
Sit Happens using these materials for education, marketing, or promotional purposes (unless you request exemption in writing).

You may request privacy or anonymity at any time.
