Feb 2024 we decided to seek help for our dog who was showing reactivity behaviours…well you would seek help from professionals if your engine in your car wasn’t working right?
We signed up for the Reactivity Master Class that we saw on Instagram. Great course, learnt a LOT and after advice, we signed up for a set of 1-2-1’s with Matt to fine tune and learn more…
Fast Forward to Sept/Oct and even though we were continuing the process in our own time and without 1-2-1 training and enjoying our boy more, Buddy Up was mentioned to us.
We have always ‘flown solo’ when walking…you tend to do that when you have a reactive dog, but this platform helps you meet up with like minded folks who aren’t there to tell you what to do (we have that continued support through the app from the SH team to guide and support our training journey we are on with our dogs) and gives you the confidence that others have been taught the ‘rules’ as to the safest way to meet up and enjoy more freedom and social training.
I can’t stress how much this has helped grow our confidence, being able to engage in outdoor life again…you don’t only meet some very supportive and amazing people who cheer you on and pick you up when you regress (which definitely happens with dog training), but you also get very personal support from the SH team when you ask for help and who are personally invested in your own success and your dog happiness. How many businesses give that personal touch these days?
I haven’t come across many dog training facilities that provide that level of support and time and follow up on you to make sure you are progressing.
A very unique service, one I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you want to enjoy living your best life with your pooches.

The best decision we ever made! Our Dalmatian Zola started to become increasingly nervous and subsequently reactive to dogs and strangers as she went through adolescence. We'd spent lots of time with training and socialising but walks had gotten to a point of becoming difficult and no longer enjoyable for her and us.
With the amazing help of Matt and the team at Sit Happens, we (surprisingly quickly) were able to have Zola walking side by side and play off lead with the wonderful Neil and Sully, and more importantly, got her to be able to remain neutral when passing others or being in busier areas so that we could start to work on building her confidence.
The passion and knowledge that the team have are second to none and they are so incredibly supportive. We did a train and stay where on the third day Matt came to our home to work in the house and on our local walks which was invaluable. They really feel like an extended family and community and words can't describe the thanks we have for helping us to be able to reset.
Now the hard work really begins putting into practice everything we've learnt, but we're excited for the journey ahead and already looking forward to going back to join in on classes and pack walks! If anyone is debating whether or not to contact Sit Happens, all I can say is go for it! I wish we'd done it sooner and cannot recommend them enough.
